What the extension does

Cream Paper Theme changes the background and text colors of web pages you visit, according to the settings you choose in its popup. All of this happens locally, inside your own browser.

What data is stored

The extension stores only your own settings, using the browser's chrome.storage.local API:

This data stays on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere, and it is removed when you uninstall the extension.

What is never collected

Permissions

storage — used solely to remember your color settings between browsing sessions.

Access to websites you visit — the extension needs to read a page's existing colors in order to recolor its white surfaces while leaving photographs and brand colors untouched. This reading happens locally and momentarily; nothing about the page is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.

Third parties

The extension contains no third-party code, no external libraries, no remote scripts, and makes no network requests whatsoever. No data is sold, shared, or transferred to anyone, for any purpose.

Children

The extension is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Any change that would affect data handling would also require a new extension release, which is reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.
